first_imgThis week, Tuscaloosa County plays host for the Camp Seale Harris from July 8- July 12. The camp is held in several locations throughout Alabama and helps bring local kids together that share a common disease, diabetes.Camp Seale Harris includes plenty of activities for the kids to participate in such as swimming, sports, crafts and other activities.“We want them to be able to come here and feel supported,” Amanda Jordan, Assistant Camp Director said. “We want them to feel like they can gain independence from coming to camp, to learn how to take care of their health better or just to create friendships that would be supportive to them throughout the year.”The camp’s next stop will be in Birmingham from July 15-19.
