August 15, 2019 /Sports News – Local UVU Men’s Basketball Releases Schedule Written by Brad James Tags: Chicago State/College of Idaho/Division I Men’s basketball/Kentucky/Lamar/Lockhart Arena/Mark Madsen/Mount St. Mary’s/North Dakota State/Orleans Arena/Southern Utah/UAB/UVU Men’s Basketball/Weber State/Westminster FacebookTwitterLinkedInEmailOREM, Utah-Thursday, UVU men’s basketball released its schedule for the 2019-20 season which features several tough tests for new head coach Mark Madsen’s squad.The schedule features 10 games against squads that went to a national postseason tournament in 2018-19.The Wolverines will also net 20,148 square miles, the most of any Division I men’s basketball squad this season.UVU hosts the College of Idaho November 1 in an exhibition game at Lockhart Arena.The season for the Wolverines officially commences November 5 at the UCCU Center against NCAA Division II Westminster of Salt Lake City.The Wolverines will then compete in the BBN (Big Blue Nation) Showcase by visiting UAB November 15 and Kentucky November 18 at the famed Rupp Arena of Lexington, Ky. They then will host Lamar November 21 at Orem as part of the showcase and will conclude it by visiting North Dakota State November 23 and Mount St. Mary’s November 26.The Wolverines then host Weber State December 4 and will visit Southern Utah December 7 to face the Thunderbirds at Cedar City.UVU’s WAC season commences January 2 at Chicago State and the Cougars will return the favor March 7 at the UCCU Center as this will be Senior Day for the Wolverines.The WAC Tournament runs from March 12-14 at the Orleans Arena of Las Vegas.
