10% payroll giving petition slow to attract sign-ups You can download the Forum’s briefing on the 10% supplement from the Institute of Fundraising’s Web site, together with the petition form. Find them under the Tax Effective giving section of the site. The petition to persuade the government to maintain the 10% top-up on payroll giving donations has not attracted many signatures from the voluntary sector so far.A Payroll Giving Forum meeting today heard that only 700 employees of voluntary sector organisations had signed the 10% top-up petition in the past two months. The Forum is campaigning to encourage the Government to retain the 10% supplement after April 2003, when it is due to cease. It might be a hard campaign to win, but it will not get anywhere if voluntary sector staff, and fundraisers in particular, do not demonstrate their interest in retaining this useful top-up.
